Runxuan Yin

About Me

I am currently a senior undergraduate student at Sun Yat-sen University, majoring in Information and Computational Mathematics at the School of Mathematics. I was originally enrolled in Economics at the School of Management, later changed to a minor. In Fall 2027, I will begin my PhD studies at the Department of Systems Engineering (SEEM) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), supervised by Prof. WAI Hoi To. From April to August 2026, I visited the Data Science and Analytics Thrust, Information Hub at HKUST (Guangzhou), working under the supervision of Prof. Zixin Zhong.

I am broadly exploring various areas and have not yet settled on a specific research direction.

Beyond academics, I am a violinist in the Sun Yat-sen University Symphony Orchestra. I am particularly drawn to the symphonic works of Mahler, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev.
